Types of nouns :

Types of nouns:

1. Common noun - used to name people, places or things in general (സാധാരണ നാമങ്ങൾ: സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ, ആളുകളുടെ പറയുന്ന നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: girl, city, animal, house

2. Proper noun - used to name a specific person, place or thing (ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെയും, ആളുകളുടെയും മറ്റും പേരുകൾ പ്രത്യേകം പറയുക)

Ex: John, London, Pluto, France

3. Concrete noun - refers to people or things that exist physically and at least one of the senses can detect (ഭൗതികമായി കാണാനോ മനസ്സിലാക്കാനോ കഴിയുന്ന നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: dog, tree, apple, moon

4. Abstract noun - have no physical existence. They refer to ideas, emotions, and concepts (ഭൗതികമായി കാണാനോ മനസ്സിലാക്കാനോ കഴിയാത്ത നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: time, fear, freedom

5. Countable noun - have a singular  and plural form and can be used with a number or a\an before it (എണ്ണാൻ കഴിയുന്ന നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: car, cup, bike

6. Uncountable noun - cannot be counted (എണ്ണാൻ കഴിയാത്ത നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: hair, milk

7. Compound noun - two or more words that create a noun (ഒന്നിലധികം വാക്കുകൾ ചേർന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന നാമങ്ങൾ)

Ex: credit card, pile

8. Collective noun - refers to a set or group of people, animals or things (ഏകവചനത്തിന്റെ രൂപവും ഒന്നിലധികം ആളുകളെയോ വസ്‌തുക്കളെയോ പരാമര്‍ശിക്കുന്നതുമായ നാമം)

Ex: team, pile, stack
